How it works

About the Audio Typing test

The audio typing test plays a simulated 999 or NHS 111 call aloud and asks you to log the key information in real time: the caller's name, the address, what has happened, and anything that affects the response.

It measures listening accuracy and typing speed together, replicating the live demands of a control room where you type while the caller is still speaking.
